เกาะช้างเป็นเกาะที่ใหญ่เป็นอันดับ 2ของประเทศรองจากภูเก็ตมีเนื้อที่ประมาณ 429 กิโลเมตร ลักษณะภูมิประเทศส่วนใหญ่เป็นเขาสูงมีผาหินสลับซับซ้อนยอดเขาที่สูงที่สุด ได้แก่ เขาสลักเพชร มีความสูง744 เมตร สภาพป่าโดยทั่วไปอุดมสมบูรณ์ ส่วนใหญ่เป็นป่าดิบเขา เป็นต้น กำเนิดของต้นน้ำลำธาร ทำให้มีน้ำตกหลายแห่งบนเกาะ ชายหาด และปะการังที่สวยงามอยู่ทางตะวันตกของเกาะ Ko Chang (Chang Island) It is the second largest island in Thailand next to Phuket. It occupies 429 square kilometers and there is a total population of 4,269 people. The island has plenty of high mountains and cliffs, and the highest mountain is Salak Phet (744 meters) and Cham prasat and Mai Hom rank second and third. Ko Chang has virgin forests that is its source of water, and there are many waterfalls on the island. Ko Chang has many small surrounding island and each has fantastic beaches and wonderful coral reefs. The best time to visit the island is from October to May. From June to September which is the rainy season on Ko Chang, visiting island in the south of Ko Chang such as Ko Kut, Ko Wai, Ko Kham is not recommended.
