ศูนย์วัฒนธรรมไทย-จีน เริ่มก่อตั้งขึ้นโดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อให้เป็นจุดศูนย์รวมอนุรักษ์ศิลปะ วัฒนธรรม สิถีบรรพชน และหลักปรัชญา ของพี่-น้องชาวไทยเชื้อสายจีนในจังหวัดอุดรธานี โดยเริ่มมีแนวคิดการ จัดสร้างในสมัยคณะกรรมการศาลเจ้าปู่-ย่า สมัยที่ 58 และได้รวบรวมกำลังทรัพย์ จากผู้มีจิตศรัทธาเพื่อซื้อที่ดินบริเวณด้านหน้าทางเข้าศาลเจ้าปู่-ย่า ด้านทิศตะวันออก ซึ่งเป็นโรงน้ำแข็งเก่า ราคา 15,500,000 บาท ทำการออกแบบก่อสร้างและทำพิธีการวางศิลาฤกษ์ เมื่อวันที่ 4 สิงหาคม 2552 และทำพิธีเปิดอย่างเป็นทางการ เมื่อวันที่ 6 มกราคม 2556 โดยมี ร้อยเอกหญิง ดร.พระเจ้าหลานเธอพระองค์เจ้าพัชรกิติยาภา ทรงเสด็จเป็นองค์ประธานทั้ง 2 ครั้ง และด้วยสำนึกในพระมหากรุณาธิคุณนี้ ทางมูลนิธิศาลเจ้าปู่-ย่า อุดรธานี จึงได้จัดสร้างอาคารเฉลิมพระเกียรติพระองค์ขึ้น เพื่อเป็นการรวบรวมข้อมูลส่วนพระองค์ และพระราชกรณียกิจ ในขณะที่ทรงดำรงตำแหน่งอัยการศาลจังหวัดอุดรธานี ภายในศูนย์วัฒนธรรมถูกออกแบบเป็นกลุ่มอาคารประกอบด้วยอาคารเฉลิมพระเกียรติ พระเจ้าหลานเธอพระองค์เจ้าพัชรกิติยาภา อาคารพิพิธภัณฑ์คุณธรรม อาคารการเรียนรู้ อาคารหอประชุมปรีชา ชัยรัตย์ และอาคารสำนักงาน ร้านค้าต่างๆ การออกแบบตกต่างสวน ออกแบบในแนวสวนจีนที่มีความวิจิตรตระการตา ภายใต้ชื่อ “สวนคุณธรรมพันปี 24 กตัญญู” ภายในสวนตกแต่งด้วยไม้มงคลจีน อันได้แก่ ต้นเครามังกร ต้นหลิว ต้นไผ่ดำ ประทัดจีน หงส์ฟู่ บีโกเนีย โป๊ยเซียน พุด เทียนหอม ที่รายล้อมสระบัว และบ่อปลาคาร์ฟจักรพรรดิ รอบสระบัวถูกตกแต่งด้วยประติมากรรมนูนสูง ที่บอกเล่าเรื่องราว ตำนานสุดยอด 24 กตัญญูของแผ่นดินจีน พร้อมคำบรรยาย (ภาษาไทย-จีน) เพื่อให้เป็นแหล่งเรียนรู้ของอนุชนคนรุ่นหลังต่อไป อาคารพิพิธภัณฑ์คุณธรรม (ชั้นบน) บอกเล่าถึงเรื่องราวคนไทยเชื้อสายจีนในจังหวัดอุดรธานี เมื่อกว่า 120 ปีที่ผ่านมา เรื่องราวของธุรกิจการค้า การศึกษา และการรวมตัวของ 9 องค์กร 11 ตระกูลแซ่ และมูลนิธิศาลเจ้าปู่-ย่า อุดรธานี บอกเล่าถึงเทพเจ้าปู่-ย่า ที่เป็นที่เคารพและศรัทธาอย่างกว้างขวาง กิจกรรมของศาลเจ้าปู่-ย่า และเรื่องราวของคณะกรรมการศาลเจ้าปู่-ย่า ทุกสมัย หอเกียรติยศที่เชิดชูบุคคลที่เสียสละเพื่อสังคมของชุมชนชาวจีน เรื่องราวสาระน่ารู้ของประเพณีการไหว้ 8 ครั้งของชาวจีน พร้อมทั้งเทคโนโลยีของโรงภาพยนตร์ 3 มิติ นอกจากนี้ในชั้นใต้ดิน ยังจัดแสดงเรื่องราวของมหาบุรุษปราชญ์ผู้ยิ่งใหญ่ชาวจีน “ขงจื่อ” เป็ฯการจัดแสดงเรื่องราวชีวิตของท่าน ตั้งแต่วัยเด็กจนถึงวัยชรา คำสอนและการเดินทาง ถ่ายทอดเรื่องราวออกมาในรูปแบบของภาพแกะสลักนูนต่ำ การปั้นรูปเหมือน นอกจากนี้ยังรวบรวมคำสอนสำคัญของท่านมาจัดแสดงผ่านภาพ ประกอบด้วยคำบรรยาย และวีดีทัศน์ในรูปแบบ Diorama PUYA CHINESE ORCHESTRA วงออเคสตร้าจีน มูลนิธิศาลเจ้าปู่-ย่า อุดรธานี เป็นวงดนตรีจีนวงแรก และวงเดียวในประเทศไทย มีนักดนตรี 120 คน ซึ่งเป็ฯลูกหลานของศาลเจ้าปู่-ย่า อุดรธานีทั้งสิ้น ซึ่งได้รับการสนับสนุนค่าใช้จ่ายทั้งหมดจากคุณปรีชา ชัยรัตน์ ใช้เครื่องดนตรีจีนที่หลากหลาย เช่น กู่เจิง ผีผา(พิณหยดน้ำ) ขลุ่ย(ตี่จื่อ) และปี่จีน(ตีต๊า) ด้วยความสามารถทำให้วงมีศักยภาพ สอบถามข้อมูลเพิ่มเติมได้ที่ โทร. ๐๔๒-๒๔๒๔๔๔, ๐๔๒-๒๔๒๓๓๓
